We lost Minnie

Filed under: Uncategorized — patreynoso at 9:48 pm on Monday, May 22, 2017
Well, sorry I haven’t posted in a while. My Minnie took a return for the worst. She got Vestibular disease. She was so bad, with only one front leg my poor baby just fell over. She was on steroids and sea sick pills for weeks. She couldnt get up to poop or pee. I had to carry her outside to do her business. After a few weeks it got worst. She was eating but loosng weight. At her heaviest she was about 18lbs. After surgery and exercise she was about 15lbs. She was down to 9lbs. Skin and bones. She was no longer walking for about a month. She had to use pee pads. I would find her behind the couch, under the dining room table. She even fell down the stairs. At the end she would poop and pee on herself. She was constantly crying.
We were back and forth to the Vet. She spent a few days on IV medication at the vet hospital. My doctor finally said “we are losing her”.
So on Friday May 12th, we put Minnie to sleep. My husband, kids and myself were there by her side as she fell asleep. My little girl is in doggie heaven.
That is the worst feeling in the world. Im crying as I’m typing. Im sad because I miss her but happy she is no longer suffering.

I am so sorry you lost little Minnie. It must be devastating but hopefully you can find solace in knowing that she is whole again and running wild and free over the rainbow.

Sending peace and love to you and your family.

Minnie and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Minnie, what a pretty girl. It is obvious how much you loved her and did everything possible to help her. She was very loved and very lucky to have you caring for her until the very end. What a gift that you could be with her through everything. I know how your heart is hurting and we will be thinking of you and your family and your girl.
I hope that you will be surrounded by good memories of Minnie and that soon all the beautiful, fun days you had with her will outweigh the hard moments that you are thinking of now. She will come back to you in the most unexpected ways and make you smile.
Sending you a huge hug,
Amy & Rusty (and my Angel dog Lucy)

So sorry for your loss of Minnie. The hardest gift we can give them is loving them enough to let them go when they tell us it’s time. Minnie knew she was loved in this world. Fly free new Angel! Grieving with you at this hardest of times!

Not what I was expecting to hear at all about the ADORABLE Minnie!!! In fact, she defined ADORABLE!

You did EVERYTHING possible for her! And your care and devotion, your deep love, they all come shing through with every word and every action. Minnie was so loved and she knew it!!

She also knew you would give her the gift of release when she toldnyounshe was ready tonrun free…..free from pain….free to run….free ro be healthy and whole again.

Every loss hits this community…your family…soooo hard. And then to hear this brave little Warrior Princess transitioned after such a victorious couple of months….our hearts break with you. We cry with you.

Please, please stay connected. This part of the journey seems unbearable and you don’t believe you will ever get through it. We are all here ro help hold you up when you crumble.

We are also here to tell you that, slowly but surely, the happy memories you and Minnie shared WILL eventually help push the sadness away further and further into the background.

Also, pay atte tion because Min ie WILL send you signs that she is still with you and that she is happy and free.

I know my Happy Hannah pwas there to greet her at the Bridge, along with so many others who were there to give her steak and ice cream. My Hannah always loved smaller dogs, so I knkw they are best buds.

When you can, pleaxe share more about your preciw Minnie with js. And we must have pictures of that cutie pa tootie!

We are here for you and with you. And we are all so privileged to be in this journey with this fiesty little gal. She will NOT be forgotten here, okay?

Surrounding you with love and hugs

Thank you so much for all your nice words. It really means a lot to me. We have three other dogs at home but Minnie was my dog. She was my little best friend. She was such a good girl at times and a little devil others. I would laugh because she had a leaky bladder just like her owner. I told my husband we old ladies have that problem sometimes. I miss her everyday and my oldest son cried for two days and his girlfriend was devastated. They were my babysitters when I was at work. My kids dogs feel my sadness and come and comfort me and lick my tears. My Max is my oldest dog has been just laying in her bed sad too. He is 13 and Minnie was his partner in crime. There is no one to share the trash with. Thank you so much for all your support, I think tomorrow will not be a good day, her ashes should be delivered tomorrow. I will post pictures of her as soon as I can.
